Oldfield Babylake 8500Oldfield Babylakes: The Fuselage requires fitting out with all rebuilt components, the fuselage,undercarriage, engine mount, fuel tank stripped to baremetal, epoxy primed and painted ready for assembly. Continental 0-200a with 486 hours since overhauled ( around 1986). Cylinders removed, bore tolerances checked,honed and new rings fitted, valves cleaned and lapped in. Oil pressure spring replaced. All tail surfaces and wings complete and covered.Flying wires are streamlined. Worksheet can be forwarded on request. Carburettor rebuilt at a cost of over 1000 with all AD's carried out. New bearings in wheels, Fuel tank removed, cleaned and repainted, Gascolator fitted with new gauze, Brake callipers stripped and new O rings fitted, Slave cylinders stripped and new 'O' rings and fibre washer fitted: Tailplane trimmer stripped to bare components, repainted and reassembled. She has an enclosed 'Pitts' cockpit but the front screen requires replacement.
The fuselage is now a kit of parts and requires re assembling.
Airframe is stressed to Plus 9 minus 9 G.
